Must See

Ancient Ruins

With much to explore in Mexico with its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts and jungles, be sure to visit ancient ruins such as Teotihuacán and the Mayan city of Chichén Itzá, as well as Spanish colonial-era towns scattered throughout the country. In its capital, Mexico City, leap from a rich history into decadent modern times with upscale shops, renowned museums and gourmet restaurants.

Cancun Underwater Museum

For a truly unique experience, snorkel in the Cancun Underwater Museum (MUSA) to view more than 470 underwater statues or take in the world-renowned art conservatory by glass-bottom boat or completely submerge yourself in it by scuba diving.

Parroquia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe

With its unusual dome, a replica of the crown worn by Empress Charlotte in 1860, this stunning church in Puerto Vallarta dominates downtown - and be sure to take the time to admire the original murals by the artist Manuel Lepe in the Palacio Municipal.

Shopping

With wonderful artists and craftsmen found in Mexico, ensure to make time for Market day. Some of the best handicrafts can be found in the states of Oaxaca and Chiapas and in and around the cities of San Miguel de Allende, Taxco, Mexico City and Guadalajara. Look for ceramic, leather, textile, weaving and woodwork goods – as well as extensively designed silver. Of course don’t forget to pick up spices and authentically smooth Tequila.

Snorkelling

World-renowned snorkelling and exploring – the beaches in Cozumel are surrounded by dense tropical vegetation and unusual endemic species, and while these are also characteristic of the island, its greatest wealth is undoubtedly underwater. Find some of the best snorkelling in the world with its seemingly endless coral reefs, and sparkling clear, warm blue water, there’s more to see than you can imagine.

Chill

Find tranquility – in an unusually beautiful site in the heart of the Mexican Pacific, surrounded by mountains covered with tropical forest reaching down to the coast, lies the peaceful, picturesque fishing village of Zihuatanejo with its wonderful combination of tranquility and exuberant surroundings.
